Teona grew up in rural Georgia, where life moved at a different pace. Fields, seasons, animals, neighbours who knew each other for generations. That upbringing gave her something that can't really be taught: a natural ease with the rhythms of the land, and a deep curiosity about the people who live close to nature.
She trained as a sports physiotherapist in the heart of the Dolomites, spending years working with mountain athletes and Alpine communities across Italy and Switzerland. That work brought her to Interlaken, and the Bernese Oberland felt immediately familiar.
"The mountains are the same language everywhere. You just have to learn to listen, and let the place speak to you."
She guides farm tours and alpine experiences at Swiss Local Adventures, and has a rare ability to slow a group down, open a conversation, and turn a morning on a mountain pasture into something people carry with them long after they leave.
Off the clock, she climbs, cycles the valley roads, skis backcountry terrain, and practices yoga wherever the view is worth it.
Through years of living and working across different countries and cultures, she became fluent in more languages than most people ever attempt, because connection is always easier in someone's own language.
