Pierre Vetsch

Pierre didn't plan to end up in Interlaken. He came for the mountains, stayed for everything else.

"In a world that moves faster every day, we need to learn how to slow down for a moment; to really appreciate it before it's gone, and reconnect with nature and the people around us. That's what this is about."

He founded Swiss Local Adventures because he kept seeing the same thing everywhere: experiences that moved too fast, felt too scripted, left too little room for the moment that actually stays with you. He wanted to build something different. Something that gives people permission to stop.

Pierre has guided several thousand guests across the world; on mountain trails, in the air, across vineyards and alpine pastures; certified in first aid and avalanche rescue to make sure every adventure is as safe as it is unforgettable.

Off the clock, he skis steep backcountry lines and glacier routes in winter. He paraglides above Lake Thun when the thermals are right. He has jumped from planes, flown speedwings low over ridgelines, explored the ocean floor on scuba, and crossed open water under sail. The Alps are his home base, but the mountains, the sea, and the sky are all part of the same conversation for him.

Through years of traveling and guiding across different countries and cultures, he picked up a few languages along the way, because the best conversations happen in someone's own language.
